We are acting for a client (now aged 35) who was involved in an unpleasant car accident at work. Briefly, in July 2012, he and some of his work colleagues were test driving a motor vehicle for their employer. He was a rear seat passenger wearing a seatbelt. Unfortunately, the car sped off the road, rolling over five or six times and eventually coming to rest on its roof.

Our client sustained a number of injuries, including a fractured left humerus, soft tissue injuries and fractured ribs, and was psychologically damaged by this accident. He has made a good recovery from his injuries but still complains of discomfort in his shoulder and this is likely to be permanent. He continues to have memories and flashbacks of the car accident.

The insurers of his employers admitted liability for the accident and initially made an offer to settle his claim for only £15,000 which, on our advice, our client rejected. We had to issue proceedings at Court and a number of further offers were put forward. We eventually were able to settle his claim.

S. J. Edney solicitors obtained compensation of £45,000 for this client during 2015
