Injury to foot from a nail from a construction site £1,500

Our client, a teenage girl, was shopping with a friend when she stepped on a nail left lying on a walkway by construction workers. The nail penetrated the sole of her foot and had to be removed by doctors under local anaesthetic. Fortunately, our client went on to make a full recovery.

Liability was difficult, with the contractor not accepting liability. Following protracted correspondence, we were able to get them to agree.

S J Edney Solicitors obtained compensation of £1,500 for this client in 2016
